Data security

Legal Agent for Word implements the following measures to handle user data securely.

Handling of document data

The contents of your Word documents are not persistently stored on our servers. They are kept in a temporary cache for approximately 1 hour, only to the extent needed for AI conversations, and are automatically deleted afterward.

Chat history retention

Chat history is retained for approximately 30 days and then automatically deleted. You can also disable automatic deletion of chat history in your user settings.

Communication encryption

All communication is encrypted with HTTPS/TLS. Data exchanged between the client (Word add-in) and the server is protected from interception or tampering by third parties.

Protection of credentials

• We do not store passwords — authentication supports OAuth only, via your Google or Microsoft account
• OAuth tokens are encrypted and stored using a key management service

Data handling on account deletion

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently deleted:

• Chat history
• User settings
• Role and skill settings (custom roles and custom skills)

Email addresses are anonymized and retained in a form that does not allow personal identification. Some data required for system maintenance and auditing, such as execution logs and access logs, is retained even after account deletion. Account deletion is irreversible and cannot be undone.
